Ruby Eyes & Bold Lips

Hello my lovelies! 💖

Today I have good news and bad news.

So, I stumbled upon some eyeshadow palettes from a brand that I had never heard of. I searched some reviews on YouTube and the majority of them were positive. I thought I should try them out because they were honestly so gorgeous so I ordered a couple of them. To my utter dismay my package was lost! Sure, I got refunded but I really just wanted my palettes, Haha! I was so disappointed because I already had my mind set that I would have them by this weekend and would be able to do a review and create a look for you guys. Oh well… I guess I’ll have to try to order it again another time.

If you want to find out what those palettes are and if they are worth your money then you should definitely follow me and be on the look out for that post. Oh, By the way, the palettes are totally affordable which makes them even better. 😉

As for the good news…

Since I was already looking forward to trying out a new eye look this weekend, I sat down at my dressing table and took out my tried and trusted Morphe 35O2 palette. I’ve had the palette for quite some time now and I haven’t explored all 35 shades yet. Ever since I got it I’ve been wanting to try out the shimmery red shade called “Ruby”.

I primed my eyelids as per usual and then I applied the shade UNIVERSAL all over my lids using a large rounded fluffy brush. Next, with a smaller tapered crease brush. I went in with the shades ORB and TAN over the previous shade but keeping it a bit closer to my crease area (just to darken it a little). To add more warmth I went in with the shade SPICE.

I initially wanted to do a cut crease so I used concealer to create the cut crease. After that, using my finger, I applied RUBY all over the area that had concealer. To create a bit of contrast, I applied the chocolatey shade RICH using a flat shader brush and blended it out. Lastly, I decided to go in with that same RICH shade in my outer V area.

I applied my wing liner using the Maybelline Master Precise liquid eyeliner. Then, I smoked out the lower lash line with the shades SPICE, FIRE and RICH. To finish off the look I applied the L’Oreal Voluminous Lash Paradise Mascara.

Although I was disappointed with the news about my package, I’m pretty contended with the look I was able to create with this palette.

What’s your go-to palette that you absolutely can’t live without?
